We started this business to spend more time with our daughter and to be able to give her the best start in life, so creating something that didn’t consider the future generations would be plain wrong.
All our own packaging that you'll receive is completely plastic free, sustainably sourced and recyclable and/or biodegradable. Our order Thank You notes are printed on seeded paper, which doubles up as a lovely activity for you to do with your little ones.
We follow these same principles as much as possible with all our materials from other suppliers, and where this isn't possible we're constantly looking for ways to make it so.
This means as much of our own waste, as well as ALL of yours when unboxing your newest Juniper Studio purchase can be recycled.
To offset the rest of the stuff we’re still working to improve, we’ll plant a tree for every order placed until we’re picture perfect (spoiler alert: forever), so when you get that email asking you to click to plant your tree, please do.
In-depth consideration is layered in every decision we make; if something doesn’t align with our beliefs, we won’t do it.
This means that, while we are a design led business which naturally involves following (and hopefully setting) some trends, considering future impact remains of huge importance.
Our focus is on heirloom products that help our customers capture memories, to be kept and treasured and not to be another brand that adds to landfill.
Along with our packaging, most of our products can also be recycled due to the materials we use...but we hope you'll never want to!
We hope our collections will be treasured for years to come, and craft them with this in mind. This spans not only the sustainability of materials as we've already mentioned, but the design of the individual products.
Using muted tones along with neutral and natural materials makes most of our products gender neutral and not overtly trend-specific. We hope this means that they can and will be enjoyed by generations to come.
Sustainability is never achieved through a sacrifice on quality; that would be counterproductive. We want our products to last as long as you'd like them to, and aiming for anything else would be at odds with our beliefs.
Every new product or piece of equipment is diligently researched and checked. If we wouldn’t be delighted to receive something, it won’t go out of the studio doors.
